Ingredients

Scale

Cookie Dough

  • 1 cup (227g) unsalted butter, softened
  • 1/2 cup (100g) granulated white sugar
  • 1 cup (220g) packed brown sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 2 1/2 cups (312g) all-purpose flour (or gluten-free flour blend for GF version)
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder

Filling

  • Oreos (regular or flavored, about 20 cookies)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the cookie dough: Start by creaming the softened butter with both the white and brown sugars until the mixture is light and fluffy. Beat in the eggs one at a time, followed by the vanilla extract. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and baking powder. Gradually mix the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients until a smooth dough forms.
  2. Shape and stuff the cookies: Take a scoop of cookie dough and flatten it slightly in your palm. Place one Oreo cookie on top, then cover it with another scoop of dough. Seal the edges completely, making sure the Oreo is fully enclosed inside a dough ball.
  3. Chill the dough: Refrigerate the stuffed dough balls for at least 30 minutes to prevent spreading and help maintain the Oreo center during baking.
  4. Bake the cookies: Arrange the stuffed dough balls evenly spaced on a parchment-lined baking sheet. Bake in a preheated oven at 350°F (175°C) for 12 to 15 minutes or until the edges are golden but the centers remain soft.
  5. Cool and serve: Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes. Enjoy warm to experience the gooey Oreo center or at room temperature.

Notes

  • Chill the dough for at least 30 minutes to prevent cookie spreading and keep the Oreo center intact.
  • Seal the edges of the cookie dough tightly around the Oreo to avoid leakage during baking.
  • Do not overbake; remove cookies when edges are golden but centers remain soft for best chewy texture.
  • Use parchment paper on the baking sheet to prevent sticking and ease cookie removal.
  • Try different Oreo flavors and dough variations such as adding cocoa powder or nuts for unique flavors.
