Ingredients

Scale

Croissant Base

  • 8 fresh or refrigerated croissants (or crescent roll dough)

Fillings

  • 812 slices thinly sliced ham
  • 8 oz Swiss or Gruyère cheese, sliced

Honey Mustard Glaze

  • 3 tablespoons honey
  • 2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
  • 2 tablespoons melted butter

Instructions

  1. Prepare Your Ingredients: Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Gather ham slices, cheese, and have your croissant dough ready to roll out or unroll if store-bought.
  2. Layer Ham and Cheese: Unroll each croissant dough piece and place a slice or two of ham followed by slices of cheese. Avoid overfilling to keep croissants manageable and ensure even baking.
  3. Roll and Shape: Roll each croissant tightly to fully encase the fillings. Place the rolls on a parchment-lined baking sheet, leaving space between each to expand during baking.
  4. Mix and Brush Honey Mustard Glaze: In a small bowl, mix together honey, Dijon mustard, and melted butter. Use a pastry brush to generously coat the tops of croissants with the glaze for a glossy, flavorful finish.
  5. Bake to Golden Perfection: Bake the croissants in the preheated oven for 15–20 minutes or until golden brown and flaky, with melted, gooey cheese inside.
  6. Cool Slightly and Serve: Let the croissants cool for a few minutes before serving to enjoy the perfect melted texture without burning your mouth.

Notes

  • Use freshly sliced or high-quality deli ham for the best flavor.
  • Keep cheese cold before assembling to prevent premature melting.
  • Brush the honey mustard glaze a second time halfway through baking for extra shine.
  • Do not overfill croissants to avoid them bursting during baking.
  • Serve warm, ideally fresh from the oven, for optimal taste and texture.
