  • 1 sheet puff pastry (frozen, thawed)
  • 1 egg (beaten for egg wash)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Spinach Filling: Wash the spinach thoroughly, then sauté it in a little olive oil with minced garlic until wilted. Let it cool slightly, then combine with ricotta cheese, grated parmesan, salt, and pepper to form the filling.
  2. Roll Out the Puff Pastry: Thaw the puff pastry according to package instructions. Lightly flour a surface and roll the pastry sheet to smooth and enlarge it slightly to create an even base for the filling.
  3. Add the Filling: Spread the spinach and ricotta mixture evenly across the puff pastry, leaving a small border around the edges for sealing.
  4. Shape the Rolls: Roll the pastry tightly from one side into a log. Slice the log into even portions to create individual rolls.
  5. Brush with Egg Wash and Bake: Place the rolls on a baking sheet, brush the tops with beaten egg for a glossy golden finish. Bake in a preheated oven at 375°F (190°C) for 20-25 minutes or until the pastry is puffed and golden brown.
